How many stars do you have?
There is actually no unified ranking system that uses "stars", but there are plenty of other descriptors that will let you know what our property is like! For example, we've earned Myrtle Beach Hospitality Association's Gold Star of Excellence for fourteen consecutive years for 100% compliance in cleanliness. Also, AAA has awarded us a 3-Diamond rating. We're a two Palmetto eco-friendly member of the S.C. Green Hospitality Alliance. Or, if you want to hear from other guests... check out our TripAdvisor page to see our most recent ranking in the city of Myrtle Beach.
When was the last time you renovated the rooms?
We are constantly updating the rooms! We renovate them bit-by-bit, so we're replacing the furniture one year, the carpet another year, the TVs another year, and so on. That way, the rooms are constantly staying updated for our guests. If you have questions about a particular room, feel free to give us a call and ask. We're happy to tell you!
Are you on the ocean?
We have two buildings. One is right on the ocean: each one of these rooms has a private balcony with rocking chairs that directly face the Atlantic Ocean (no side views!). The other building is our "Main Building" and is located right across the street from the beach; it's about a 100 yard walk. All you do is cross Ocean Blvd, which is a two-lane road with a 25 mph speed limit... there's even a crosswalk and a turning lane so that you can take it one lane at a time. We do not guarantee ocean views for any of these rooms.
Are you on the strip?
We're located on Ocean Blvd, which is the road that parallels the ocean, about one mile south of the center of the city. We like out location, because we're close enough to the center of the city (which is what some people consider "the strip") to get there without a problem, but far enough that it's fairly quiet at night.
How far are you from shops, attractions, and restaurants? Is there anything within walking distance?
If you've been the Myrtle Beach before, you know that the city is very spread out... so we're really close to some attractions and farther than others. Some notable attractions include:
- 1 mile (2 min.) from the south end of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade
- 2 miles (4 min.) from the north end of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade, which is where the Sky Wheel is located
- 1 mile (1 min.) from Family Kingdom Amusement Park
- 3 miles (7 min.) from Market Common
- 4 miles (9 min.) from Broadway at the Beach (Ripley's Aquarium, Celebrity Circle, etc)
- 12 miles (21 min.) from Murrells Inlet
As far as restaurants and shops go, there are plenty of places within walking distance. Some of our favorites include Manny's Deli, which is a block west of us, Angelo's Steak & Pasta, which is three blocks south of us, and Mako's Oceanfront Bar & Grill, which is 2 1/2 blocks south. We would still recommend getting a rental car, though, if you're not already bringing one.
How far are you from the airport? Do you have a free shuttle?
Our hotel is about 1 1/2 miles away from the airport... it's a 7 min drive! Right now, we do not offer a free shuttle to the airport, but we are always happy to call a taxi on your behalf.
How late are your pools open?
Out indoor pool facility is open from 9 AM to 11 PM and our outdoor pool facility is open from 9 AM to midnight.
Is parking free?
Yes, most of the time, parking is free! And there is no limit on the amount of vehicles per room (although we may ask you to park extra cars in our overflow lot). Things are a little different during the Myrtle Beach bike rallies, though, and there are a couple of restrictions on parking... so make sure to call if you have questions.
Do I have to pay for the wireless Internet?
No, our wireless Internet is also free. And, just in case you forgot your laptop, we have a brand-new business center equipped with computers and a printer that's open 24/7.
What's your breakfast like?
Our deluxe continental breakfast is served from 6:30 AM -9:30 AM and is located the lobby in our Main Building (across the street from the ocean). We serve hot and cold foods, ranging from made-to-order Belgian waffles to Southern-style biscuits and gravy to sausage patties to fresh fruit. To see a complete menu, click here. Breakfast is eat-in only, so please do not plan on taking plates of food back to your room. Instead, let us know if you want something to go and we'll be happy to provide you with our pre-packaged to-go bags.
What is your pet policy?
We have one pet-friendly unit! It is a one-bedroom apartment unit located west of our property. For rates and availability, give us a call. Other than that, all of our units are pet-free.
What time is check-in and check-out? Can I get into my room before 3 PM if I get to Myrtle Beach early? Can I leave later than 11 AM?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM every afternoon. We are often able to get guest into their rooms earlier than check-in, but we never guarantee or promise that a room will be ready before check-in time. If you arrive in Myrtle Beach earlier in the day and your room is ready, we'll go ahead and send you in. If not, we'll let housekeeping know you're here and they'll prioritize your room. Then, we'll give you your parking passes and access to our amenities, and you can hang out at our property for as long as you want. We'll even call you on your cell phone when the room is ready!
Check-out is at 11:00 AM each morning. Late check-outs are given the day of departure upon housekeeping approval (depending on their workload, scheduling, and availability).
Do you rent beach umbrellas or chairs? Do you have beach towels for us to use?
We do not rent beach umbrellas or chairs because the lifeguards rent them in front of our property. Last we heard, they cost $30 a day for two chairs and an umbrella. We also do not rent beach towels, because the sand gets in our washers... but we do sell them! We also have pool towels for free for your use.
